Participants in these acting classes/workshops will be led through a series of intuitive, imaginative, and psycho-physical exercises that seek to strengthen mind-body connections to both the technical processes, as well as the creative processes, underlying and aiding each student to arrive at frequent Peak Performances: State of Inspired Action.
Art of Characterization Workshop
A comprehensive look at Chekhov's tools for devising unique multidimensional characters. This is a workshop that will fine tune the actor's imagination, using image work; movement; centers; imaginary body & archetypes. Using rehearsal techniques & improvs, the actor will learn how to transform themselves into other characters.

Private Coaching Foundation Course
Private classes focused on giving you a solid foundation in Michael Chekhov's Techniques, outlined in his book On the Technique of Acting.

Semi-Private Scene Work
Weekly semi-private sessions with NMCA Certified Teacher Joe Herrera,concentrating primarily on your ability to connect with another actor while engaging your imagination using the Chekhov tools ON CAMERA. These semi-private sessions focuses on the beat to beat exchange with two actors. The sessions will be individually designed to work on a specific need to aid the actors. MAX 2 ACTORS

Commedia 1: Playing Comedy
An 8 week foundational workshop class with NMCA Certified Teacher Joe Herrera, focusing on the basic principles of comedy & physical theatre using Commedia Dell 'Arte, a 16th century masked acting form, where students will learn key aspects to playing comedy: status, appetites/needs, swing/polarities, and intention/invention.

Commedia 2: Style
An 8 week advanced workshop class with NMCA Certified Teacher Joe Herrera, focusing on the specific style of Commedia Dell 'Arte, where students will learn to apply the principles learned in Commedia 1unto the stylized Commedia stock characters: stylization of the form, how they move, how they behave, and create improv scenarios - known as lazzi's. Prerequisite: Commedia 1:Playing Comedy

Laban - Movement For Actors:
Advanced Characterization
An 8 week workshop class with NMCA Certified Teacher Joe Herrera, focusing on the psycho-physical principles of Rudolf Laban's system teaching actors to physically, vocally and energetically discover various characters. This is an advanced workshop that will dive deeper into exploring characterization using the work of Laban.

On Set Acting/Dialogue Coach (Film/TV)
Work with principal actors during rehearsal periods and/or on set to improve performance.
Enable actors on set to develop their skills for a specific role and/or scene in a film project
Used a range of acting techniques to lift the performance of the actors.
Understand the objectives for the project, the film company and the individual being coached.
Understand the “ins and outs” of the film set and movie production process in general.
Develop a coaching style which puts the actor at ease.
Develop and administer a coaching programme specific to the project or individual.
